Bobby’s Burgers by Bobby Flay is seeking a seasoned restaurant leader to be a manager at our upcoming Charlotte, NC location. As a manager, you will have the opportunity to help lead the team to success in a fast-paced, fast-casual restaurant environment, creating the “Ultimate Burger Experience” for our guests.

Job Description – Manager

In the manager role, you will assist the General Manager (GM) in leading and managing all daily restaurant operations with a focus on product quality, increasing sales, and delivering a superior guest experience. Including some areas of financial operations, such as P&L, reporting, inventory, recruiting, hiring, and training of team members. In addition, you will ensure adherence to food quality standards and safety and security procedures and communicate all policies and requirements. The manager will have a critical role directly responsible for all aspects of the restaurant’s performance and guest experience.


  • Uses a guest-focused approach and the desire to provide excellent guest service.
  • Interacts with a diverse population of guests and team members, ensuring superb guest service.
  • Verifies that audit, daily taste and temp, and training standards are maintained.
  • Assist the GM in:
    • managing daily restaurant operations with a focus on flawless execution, increasing profit, and enhancing the guest experience.
    • building and leading a strong team, including recruiting, hiring, team member development, engagement, and retention.
    • directing the work of the team, including weekly schedules and assigning areas of responsibility to the team members of the restaurant.
    • managing the performance of the entire team, including weekly meetings, performance evaluations, training, coaching, and discipline.
    • reviewing applications, interviews, and hiring hourly team members.
    • maintaining certifications for management and team members in food safety, hygiene, and alcohol service and provides oversight of compliance with all applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and standards.
    • overseeing and maintaining the cleanliness and condition of the restaurant up to standard.
    • providing oversight over food, labor, equipment, and facility costs.
    • overseeing regular inventories.
  • Has an understanding of financials, including P&L, budgets, forecasting, reporting, inventory, and food and labor costs.
  • Understands and helps execute an action plan to achieve goals.
  • Ensures that restaurant policies on team member performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.
  • Utilizes POS and cash handling expertise in the restaurant setting.
  • Will help implement strategies that drive sales while controlling costs.
  • Upholds compliance with all employment policies.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure its condition and food quality is up to standard.
  • Enforces appropriate security measures at the restaurant so that the safety of our team members and guests is always maintained.
  • Participates in the development of key team members, including training in employment policies and practices.
  • Understands, manages, and practices safe food handling procedures.
  • Attends regular meetings as required.

  • 5 day, 40-50 hour estimated work week

Physical Requirements

  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
  • In an 8-hour workday: standing/walking for 6-8 hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals.
  • Exposure to temperatures less than 32 degrees Fahrenheit and more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.


  • Culinary and/or Associate’s degree is preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree is valued, but not required


  • 2-5 years minimum work experience in a restaurant assistant management or supervisory role preferred.
